The SEO Roadshow is Back!

March 16th, 2008 by 4Eyes

All we can say at this time, is that some of the rumours are true!

The SEO Roadshow leprachauns are working day and night on a cunning plan.

Watch this space.

(and don’t book any late holidays in September or October)

SEOroadshow 2006 hosted by Notabene

click a thumbnail to go to large view, there’s a “back/next” nav in the header there. that’s all you get for ui with “Design by RC.”

the taxi driver didn’t want to let us out at first. the venue was great, very edgy, and once you get to the top floor you can see why it’s successful –any club owner would like to have a place where trash is the decor.

besides, just hose the place off, throw trash and bodies over the edge, and you’re ready for the next party. supposedly, there were 700 law students there the day before for a party, though i have to wonder how long it took them to get to the top on that one rickety elevator.

i have a hunch that much of the graffiti was orchestrated. very nice effect.

summary: GREAT, GREAT venue …it’s going to be damn hard to top that one. as for the attendees, the “master plan” of raising the bar for attendance by moving it out of London is definitely working.

A good time was had by all. Thanks everyone for coming!

The conversation, the beer, the view and the sun made this one truly unique. So far all feedback has been very positive all around.

We’ll do a proper write-up shortly, BUT until then please give me a buzz if you have pictures from the event and we’ll put them up here :)

UPDATE:
Head over to ThreadWatch for a detailed report

Good crowd, people!

September 18th, 2006 by Rumbas

So far the most organised guys have already given the indication that they’re coming.

We have some of the core old guys flying in already from all over the World, a couple new ones on the list and a bunch of very good people from the mainland too :)

Looking good, looking good. Going to be a good one methinks. See ya there :)

Copenhagen hotel

September 18th, 2006 by Rumbas

Hotel:
First Hotel Vesterbro
http://www.firsthotels.dk/vesterbro

They have a cool indoor garden area and a nice big terrasse at the top. The bar stays open till the last man leaves.

We made a deal with them where:

Single rooms: $190 a night including breakfast.
Doubles: $225 a night including breakfast.
(depending on currency rates - In Denmark we use the Krone. Check currency rates)

If you want this deal, please email Jeanette Knudsen at: jeanette.knudsen@firsthotels.dk and mention “SEO Roadshow”. You might get it cheaper online, so if you’re on a budget, do some research, but act quickly as they might sell out quickly.

If you want more luxury, the SasRadisson is 2 mins. away:
Radissonsas Copenhagen so is the Scandic.

SEO Roadshow 2006, Copenhagen Denmark

June 15th, 2006 by Rumbas

With much negotiation, bribes and a little brown nosing, we where able to convince the Roadshow Management Team that SEO Roadshow should be in Denmark in 2006.
We even found a few that would help cover the bar bill during the afternoon, so there you have it:

Date:
Saturday 23rd of September 2006

Place:
Copenhagen, Denmark

Venue address:
A-Huset
Islands Brygge 81-83
Top floor
Be aware that the entrance and elevator area is a bit errrm a bit dodgy, but make your way to the top and all is well :)

SEO Roadshow Venue 2

Time:
13:00 to whenever..
It changes into a night club/bar in the evening and everyone is welcome to stay.

Hotel:
First Hotel Vesterbro
http://www.firsthotels.dk/vesterbro

The hotel is a GOOD walk from the venue, so taking a cab or wearing your walking shoes might be wise (maps coming up here later).

Copenhagen Airport (CPH) have 100’s of flights coming in every day and most airlines fly here:
http://www.cph.dk/CPH/UK/MAIN/

Transport from the airport to the hotel can be on the train (S-tog) which leaves from the terminal building. Buses are right out side too and cabs will cost you $20-30.

So, digg out your invite or go hazzle someone you know who’s going and see if they will invite you :)

See you there!

That Was The Week That Was

September 14th, 2005 by NFFC

Another year slips by, another Roadshow been and gone.

I had a great time myself, I’ll post some musings and thank you’s later, but as always the small feeling of regret that you didn’t get to speak to everybody you wanted to for as long as you wanted pervades.

Here’s to next year.

Keep the faith.

Is Everybody in the Travel Industry?

August 29th, 2005 by NFFC

Been walking through the list of confirmations, seems we have a high % who work the travel keywords, the phrase “movers and shakers” springs to mind.

You should be able to spot them on the day, they are usually tanned and will be whispering with each other in the dark corners of the room.

Rupert, put down that checkbook

August 11th, 2005 by rcjordan

OK, I wasn’t going to invite Rupert but now Nick’s outed him as a search wannabe so we’d better ask peter_d or somebody down that way to stroll next door and tell Murdoch he’s invited. (Email obviously won’t work because, judging from the acquisitions, the old boy doesn’t get on the internet very often).

Rup, trust me on this one, you really need to come sit with the boys and chat before you buy anything else. BTW, the beer’s on us.
