Massa asked about Amsterdam over on SEW. I know jack about Amsterdam but am flying in there this time and using it as my hub.

Hotel > In town:
Best Western Museum Hotel P.C. Hooftstraat 2 Amsterdam (seems to require multi-day stay –no problem for me this time).

Hotel > airport:
Best Western Bastion Hotel Amsterdam Airport Vuursteen (I just need a place to sleep between flights)

Flight to Edinburgh:
Easyjet had a good connection time out of Amsterdam. I paid about €120 r/t.
